School Lessons

A fairly new country with a future ahead of it, Moldova is finding itself plagued by major social issues like human trafficking, poverty and abortion.  The highest number of children and adults trapped in human trafficking within Europe come from Moldova.

Sinai 30 knows that children need to be educated about these issues to stop the cycle of these issues and create new social patterns.  That’s why they’ve been going to local schools and talking with young people about how they can beat the statistics.

Sinai 30 presents 10 lessons on common problems concerning youth in Moldova, including:
Human trafficking
Abortion
Smoking
Alcohol
AIDS
Sexuality
Relationships
Family Dynamics: addressing and encouraging children who come from broken homes and talking about their future families
Finding Your Potential: helping young people realize find their purpose and passion
Dependence on Computers: addressing the international issue of the high priority of technology in the lives of young people

These lessons are given once a year in four schools in the area, with hopes to expand to more schools in the future.  Attendance is optional and depends on the schedule of the kids.  The lessons are geared for ages 12-18.

When children are educated about these issues, Sinai 30’’s hope is that they will be able to make smart decisions in the future.  Octov, one of Sinai 30’s missionaries who is passionate about ministering to youth, facilitates conversations and presents alternatives to the common traps that young people fall into as they grow into adults.
